After breakfast at the hotel, set-out on a local city tour of Gangtok, visiting TASHI VIEW POINT (it offers a sweeping view of Kanchenjunga snow peaks), BANJHAKRI FALLS AND ENERGY PARK (a recreation centre and tourist attraction), RANKA MONASTERY (also known as Lingdum Monastery), DO DRUL CHORTEN (a giant stupa built in 1946 by a teacher of the 14th Dalai Lama, Trulshik Rinpoche), NAMGYAL INSTITUTE OF TIBETOLOGY (a Tibet museum named after the 11th Chogyal of Sikkim, Sir Tashi Namgyal), GANGTOK ROPEWAY (Cable car linking Deorali Bazaar with Tashiling Secretariat, offering views of mountains & the city), HIMALAYAN ZOOLOGICAL PARK (Sprawling zoological park with select animals, a watchtower & views of Mount Khangchendzonga).
